KidzoPlanet (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a kids learning app operated for families. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. A parent or guardian should create and manage the account.

- The app is made for children and is managed by a parent or guardian.
- We store account details, learning progress, and optional cloud features when signed in.
- We do not sell personal data.
- Parents can delete the family account in the app or by contacting support.
What we store
- Account: name and email in Firebase Authentication and Firestore.
- On device: lesson progress, XP, saved worksheets, and Play Area game progress.
- Optional cloud: weekly scores, quiz battles, and game progress in Firestore if a child profile is signed in.
- Optional AI tutor: messages only if a parent adds their own API key.
Microphone
Voice answers use the device microphone during a quiz. Speech is processed on-device when possible and is not stored by KidzoPlanet.
Parent controls
The Parent Dashboard is PIN-protected. Set your own PIN and do not share it with the child. You can export a progress PDF from Parent Zone.
YouTube videos
Parents can approve YouTube channels or playlists. Kids only see that list and watch inside the app with YouTube’s official player. KidzoPlanet does not download YouTube videos.
Third-party services
- Google Firebase — authentication, cloud database, hosting
- Google Sign-In / Sign in with Apple — optional account sign-in
- Google Play & Apple App Store — app distribution
- YouTube (Google) — parent-approved video playback
Each provider processes data under their own privacy policies.
Data retention & deletion
A parent can delete the family account in Parent Zone → Delete account. This permanently removes the sign-in, cloud progress, and kid profiles on the device. It cannot be undone. You may also request deletion by emailing support@kidzoplanet.com. See Delete account for step-by-step instructions.
Children’s privacy
KidzoPlanet is designed for children with parental oversight. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child without a parent-managed account. Parents control profiles, progress sharing, and account deletion.
Security
We use HTTPS, Firebase security rules, and device storage protections. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
